Chose From the Following Retirement Plans
Here are some of the retirement plan options available to you and your employees:
- 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan – these are employer–sponsored plans which
allow for payroll deductions for employee contributions. Employees make elective
pre-tax salary deferrals, with established maximum limits annually. Employers
have the option to match all or part of employee contributions.
- Profit Sharing Plan – ideally suited for many businesses because of the flexibility these plans permit. Employers can vary their contributions from year-to-year or forego contributions altogether. Often used in combination with a 401(k) Plan.
- Money Purchase Plan – good for established businesses with predictable cash flow. Employer contributions are mandatory from year to year, regardless of annual profits.
- Simplified Employee Pension Plan (SEP) – appropriate for all size businesses, this is the easiest plan to establish and administer. Employers can adjust their annual contributions to match their cash flow.
- Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees (Simple IRA) – suitable for businesses with 100 employees or fewer. This plan may not be used in conjunction with another retirement plan. A Simple IRA is an employer-and-employee funded plan, however, business owners have flexible, tax deductible contribution options.
